Rare Vintage Midcentury Danish Design Rosewood Ice Bucket designed by Richard Nissen. I believe this dates from 1960. The body is constructed from panels of rosewood with a slightly waisted body, detailed with beautifully polished concave discs, two to each side which act as carry handles. The circular lid has four further concave discs. The base is stamped or rather fire branded in to the wood "Nissen Denmark". The interior has a black acrylic liner to hold the ice. External dimensions are 22cm diameter across the top and 14.5cm tall. CONDITION - The piece is excellent with no major scratches to note and only shows some very minor and light age related marks. The patina of the rosewood is just beautiful. Fabulous display piece or fit for purpose.
